OÜ Karlskroona is Estonia’s largest wholesaler of fresh fruit and vegetables. Established in 1998, we are part of Veikko Laine Oy, a Finnish family-owned group whose extensive experience in the fresh produce industry enables us to provide our customers with high-quality products and reliable service.

We offer a wide selection of fresh fruit, vegetables and herbs, sourced from some of the world’s finest growing regions and delivered directly to our wholesale warehouse. Thanks to our efficient supply chain and long-standing partnerships with growers, we are able to maintain a consistently high-quality and reliable product range throughout the year.

Karlskroona’s Own Fresh Herbs

Fresh herbs are among Karlskroona’s undisputed bestsellers. We prepare and pack fresh herb selections in our own warehouse. Our popular trio of dill, flat-leaf parsley and spring onions, presented in Karlskroona’s signature apple-label packaging, is carefully packed by hand every day.

We also create customised vegetable and fruit combinations to meet our customers’ specific requirements. For example, our made-to-order selection includes a cauliflower and broccoli mix presented on a tray.

We are flexible, respond quickly to our customers’ needs and are committed to delivering fresh produce at all times.

Estonia’s Only Dedicated Banana-Ripening Facility

One of Karlskroona’s greatest strengths is our investment in specialised banana-ripening technology. Our facility, unique in Estonia, allows us to manage the ripening process with precision and supply our customers with bananas at the ideal stage of ripeness, with consistent quality and excellent flavour. It is no coincidence that, for many of our customers, Karlskroona bananas have become synonymous with quality.

Logistics That Deliver

Our wholesale warehouse is located in Jõelähtme Municipality, directly alongside the Tallinn–St Petersburg highway. This strategic location enables us to serve customers throughout Estonia quickly and efficiently.

Efficient logistics mean shorter delivery times from our warehouse to the customer—resulting in fresher produce, higher quality and happier customers.

Responsibility and Sustainability

We are committed to operating as a socially and environmentally responsible company. Solar panels installed on the roof of our building and across our premises allow us to generate clean energy, reduce our environmental footprint and lower our electricity consumption from the grid. Biodegradable waste from our warehouse is also used to produce bioenergy.

When working with fresh produce, sustainability begins with responsible decisions at every stage of the supply chain. At Karlskroona, we continuously look for ways to reduce our environmental impact, use resources more efficiently and keep quality food in circulation.

That is why we work every day to ensure that as little edible fruit and vegetables as possible goes to waste. Products that may not meet conventional retail standards but remain perfectly good to eat are given a second chance through our partnership with ResQ Club.
